There are 44 cards in this Angel Prayers Oracle deck. Each card has its own image, keywords and prayer. The keywords act as a focus for your own intuitive input and the prayer helps you harness the qualities it offers to you. You’ll find more in-depth interpretations in this booklet, but it’s important to trust your instincts when you see a card. There’s a good chance the meaning will change each time - but that’s how you know the deck’s working!

The Archangels

Sixteen of the 44 Angel cards represent one of the major Archangels. Archangels are like the managers of Heaven. If in a reading you pick an Archangel card, or more than one, consider yourself blessed, as these beings offer extra-special support and powerful guidance.

The Divine Mother and Divine Father

There are also cards to represent the Divine Mother and the Divine Father. We all have the essence of the divine within us, both the mother and the father. The cards depict religious figures from two completely different belief systems to acknowledge that these divine parents are recognized in every part of the

Creating a positive relationship with your cards is important. The more you get to know them, the better. If this is your first time using the deck, it’s important to take some time to go through the cards one by one to get a feeling for their messages, prayers and beautiful imagery.

The best way to welcome the Angels is to ask for their help. When you begin to work with your Angel deck, you will create an open channel through which the Angels can communicate with you.

The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is the universal law whereby we attract similar experiences to whatever state we are in at the time, mentally or emotionally. Using this law, the Angels will draw you to pick the cards that have the right message for you. No card is an accident - every card you pick will have a meaning for you. So, even if a card doesn’t make sense or isn't what you wanted to see, take heed of the guidance it provides.

Conducting Angel Readings

The Angel Prayers Oracle deck is created in such a way that you can use the cards as a tool for yourself or to give accurate and insightful readings for others.

The most important thing to know is that there’s no right or wrong way to conduct an Angel reading. Let go of any superstitions about cards and readers you may have heard. You are in control and held by your Angels, and reading the cards is completely safe.

Shuffling the Cards

Before any reading it’s always good to give your deck a really good shuffle. It may take some time to get used to doing it, but as with all things, practice makes perfect. You may even want to cut the deck a few times and put it back together again.

Once you’ve shuffled, you’re ready to go!

Reading for Yourself

The best way to get familiar with your Angel card deck is to give yourself a reading. You may have heard that you shouldn’t or can’t read for yourself, but that’s not true. You’ll probably pick a card that you don't want to see now or then, or have possibly unfounded expectations of a particular card, but reading for yourself is a completely safe and enlightening experience. To read for yourself:

• Spread the cards out in front of you and place your hands on top of them.
• In your mind or out loud (whatever feels best), say this prayer: ‘Thank you Angels for revealing to me what I need to know!’
• Then pick your cards.

Reading for Another Person

The procedure is almost exactly the same when reading for another person:

• Shuffle the cards.
• Ask your ‘client’ to place their hands on the cards and say: ‘Thank you Angels for revealing to me what I need to know!’
• Invite them to pick the cards.

I place my hands on top of the hands of whoever I’m reading for as they say the prayer and say in return, ‘Thank you Angels of [their name] for revealing to [their name], through me, what they need to know. For the highest good, we say, and so it is!’ Then I ask them to pick their cards.

A Selection of Spreads

Here are some simple spreads you can use in your readings. When you pick cards for these spreads, it’s important to do one thing: keep them in order. So, after you pick the cards, place them face down in a pile on top of each other, with the first card at the bottom. This means that when you pick up the pile and turn it face up, you can lay the cards out from left to right in the spread you have chosen. When

A Daily Card

Picking a card daily is a brilliant way to get to know your deck and to start your day with spiritual guidance. All you have to do is pick one card from the deck every day when the time suits you and keep the prayer and keywords in mind all day.

Strength, Heart and Challenge Spread (Three- Card Spread)

This is my favourite spread for effective insight. It will tell you what you need to know at any given time. It's also particularly good when you’re asking the Angels a specific question.

• Set your intention(s) and say the prayer.
• Then pick three cards, laying them out in order from left to right like this:

Nine-Card Spread

This is the spread I use professionally with clients to have a clear insight into the nine key aspects of their life - their past; present; future; strength; heart; challenge; home and family; relationships; and romance, career and purpose.

• Once you’ve thought about your life and where you need guidance, say the prayer and then pick nine cards, laying them face down in a pile.
• Turn them over and lay them out from left to right facing you in a spread like this:

This card spread works in three different ways and it can take a while to get used to it, but once you’ve got it, you'll absolutely fall in love with it and the results it brings you.

Reading Across

• Cards 1, 2, 3 represent your home life and your family.
• Cards 4, 5, 6 represent your relationships and romance.
• Cards 7, 8, 9 represent your career and purpose.

Reading Down

• Cards 1, 4, 7 represent the past.
• Cards 2, 5, 8 represent your current world.
• Cards 3, 6, 9 represent the future and guidance.

Reading Diagonally

• Cards 1, 5, 9 represent the strength, heart and challenge.

You don’t have to read in all directions at first, you can just practise going across and add in the past/ present/future once you’ve gained confidence.

The strength, heart and challenge can be added in at any time. I’ve found that this just gives that extra sense of foundation to any reading.

Future Guidance

Picking cards for the months ahead can be really enlightening. Sometimes once I’ve done a reading I'll shuffle the cards back in and say, ‘Thank you Angels for sharing guidance for the next six months,’ then take one card at a time from the top of the deck and

turn it over. The first card represents the month I’m in and the cards that come next are the months that follow on. Exciting!

• After you’ve done a reading for yourself, you can place all the cards back into a pile and shuffle them.
• You can then pick a card from the top of the deck for each of the months ahead. You can do 12 if you wish to see the full year, but I recommend six because it’s within reach and you can always check back in when those six are complete.

Jumping Cards

It is likely as you shuffle the deck that there will be a card that jumps out. Jumping cards are exciting and represent a message to be read. If you are reading for yourself, the jumping card is for you. If you are reading for another and are shuffling the deck for them, the message will be for them.

If you accidentally drop the deck or half of it falls out as you shuffle, these are not jumping cards and it’s important to put the deck back together and continue, unless one card is facing upwards and the rest aren’t, in which case that card holds a message.

There are no rules really, but I always read the jumpers as I shuffle. I think it’s exciting and the client can see that the deck knows how they feel. It’s really the deck’s way of saying, 'The Angels can hear you.’

Reversed Cards

Now and then you'll find that you’ll turn over a card and it will be reversed. It’s important to take note of that. I've always found that when an Angel card comes out upside down it’s the Angels’ way of saying, 'Look at this message and give it your attention.’

I always have my whole deck upright when I’m reading, but sometimes whoever’s picking the cards or the way they are chosen can unconsciously reverse them. I always treat this as an auspicious event and give it the attention it deserves. If you have a reversed card, or even several, do give them some attention before you go to the rest of your cards, even if they are at the end of the cards selected, so you can convey the messages that are being highlighted.

For example, say you’ve just done the three-card spread (strength/heart/challenge) and your heart card is reversed and is 'The Miracle of Forgiveness’ from Archangel Jeremiel. This is a sure sign that Archangel Jeremiel and the Angels are drawing

close to your heart at this time and really want you to focus on the miracle of forgiveness so that you can move forwards. They understand it may be a challenge for you, but the true you, your heart, is telling you that it is within reach. Work with the Angels through the prayer for this card to make this very special miracle happen for you.

Asking a Question

You can ask the deck a question about any area of your life or situation you’re experiencing. Use the three-card spread for guidance, but instead of saying something like ‘Is it right for me to get married?’ or ‘Should I take this job?’, say something like ‘Thank you Angels for giving me guidance about my upcoming marriage' or ‘Thank you Angels for giving me insight to my career choice.’ Then pick your cards.

The strength card should show you what’s in your favour in the current situation, the heart card will tell you how it’s aligned with your soul and the challenge will represent something you need to work on in order for it to be resolved. Try it!

Although Angel readings may be a serious endeavour, it’s also important to have fun. So, listen to the guidance of the cards, but try not to get too hung up on seeing a specific card or wanting a certain result. Just take your time, smile and enjoy the experience.

Take time to balance out your life. You’re trying to be everywhere at once and you'll be feeling out of synch because of this.
